I know a little about a lot of different technical things, and my superpower is explaining those things to non-technical audiences.
I’ve been interested in technology since I was 11 years old, when I asked my parents to buy me Photoshop for Christmas. I’m currently working as a technical manager, running teams and helping build state-of-the-art natural language processing tools at Primer. I have over five years of web and UX design experience in the nonprofit sector, focusing on issues of open data, governance, and human rights. Prior to that, I worked for The Atlantic and Government Executive as a content writer and producer.
I recently received my masters’ degree in Design and Technology with a minor in Civic Service Design from Parsons School of Design, where I used data and machine learning to examine structural and algorithmic injustice.
